ANGELINA JOLIE REVEALS PREVENTATIVE DOUBLE MASTECTOMY!
Over the past few months, actress Angelina Jolie’s relatively low profile was attributed to her planning her rumored upcoming wedding or rumors that she might be pregnant yet again. The tabloids couldn’t have been more wrong! In an op-ed piece for the New York Times, the Oscar winner revealed that she’s had a double mastectomy! Citing her mother’s 10-year battle with breast cancer, along with testing positive for the breast cancer gene and doctors giving her and 87% chance of getting the disease, Jolie said that, while she’s gone though her procedures for the past three months in private, she’s hoping that her telling her story will encourage others at possible risk to get gene tested. She also praised her baby’s daddy, actor Brad Pitt, for being there for all of her surgeries and told loved ones of women fighting the disease to know that their support plays an important part in helping the woman fight.
