Adrian Peterson indicted for child abuse in Texas - KMSP-TV

Old school parents may have stories about their parents administering discipline with a switch, but Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson is learning that a switch can get you indicted! KTRK - TV is reporting that Peterson was indicted by a grand jury in Montgomery County, Texas for reckless or negligent injury to a child. The charges reportedly come from an incident where he disciplined his song with a tree branch, or switch. So far, it’s unknown if Peterson will play in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Until now, there’s been the quietly held belief among many following the shooting of 18 year-old teen Ferguson, Missouri teen Mike Brown that the witnesses recounts are more about race than the facts. Several witnesses, who were African American, have been adamant that Brown put his hands up in surrender and was shot by officer Darren Wilson once, then several more times after he fell. The police and some media outlets have, in return, painted the witnesses as Black folks that don’t really understand the law and didn’t see what happened. Now, new video has surfaced capturing the reactions of two new witnesses, saying the same thing that others have said. The difference? The two witnesses are White and are not from the area!
